Under a generic Camera Insurance policy (homeowner’s coverage), there are specific limitations as to the amount of coverage that would be provided to personal property which is used in the practice of business. Specifically the limitations of Part C in your policy indicate an amount of $2500 for business property which experiences a covered loss on the residence permises. This coverage can be limited further by two things: If the coverage provided by part C is less than $2500 (on or off-premises) or if the camera equipment experiences a loss off of the property. With this being said, your business property is usually limited to only $250 when it is off the residence property. Further if your full coverage provided by part C (50% of your home’s insured value) or the 5% limit for off premises loss (5% of your home’s insured value) then the most the insurance company will pay is the lesser of the policy limit or business limit.
