Because Online Shopping has become part of our lives for about a decade now, my wife and I have decided to put up a business of our own which has something to do with the internet and shopping. Yes, you guessed it right, we are putting up an online retail store. We plan to buy toys (source them out actually overseas) and market them in the internet before selling them to our clients. The truth is that we have already experimented on this and we can say as far as we know, we had been very successful with our “test project” and that is why we are really ready and raring to make it a full time affair. No, it will not be a large scale one in the beginning as my wife and I have yet to raise a big amount as a starting capital. Rather, we plan to start small and just play it by ear – meaning, we’d listen to our clients and just be ready to act on whatever it is that they’d require of us. Cherry, my wife is an accountant by profession so I guess that part of the business will not be a problem. I am however a marketing guy and have been working in the industry of selling perfumes for over a decade now. This background that I have in marketing will be a big plus in this endeavour, I guess. Cherry and I are a little scared mainly because we have kids to feed and raise and we’re counting on good luck so that we can pull this through. We are confident though that we’d be successful. We’re pretty sure that there will be a learning curve still, but we’re both determined to surpass all the hurdles. Wish us luck in this new adventure of ours.

A Wedding with TOMS Shoes
Monday, February 13th, 2012I went to a wedding wearing TOMS Shoes. The bridal couple was so into TOMS that they asked their entourage and guests to wear such shoes. I must say that it was the most comfortable wedding that I have ever been to. I am one of the bridesmaids and we were all dressed in red coloured gowns and we were wearing matching TOMS! The bride wore white TOMS and her groom wore black ones. I really appreciate that they gave us these shoes to wear. It made dancing easier and so much fun! We did the “line dance” without removing our shoes and somehow it gave us more stamina to stay on the dance floor all night. It’s also amusing that most of the guests complied with the couple’s request to wear TOMS too. So the dance floor was really packed as everyone could dance to their heart’s delight without worrying about aching feet. I wish all future weddings will be this comfy.
